gold

Gears of War 3 went gold last week. For those of you not in the gaming industry (which is pretty much everyone) that means the game is finished, has passed all certification and has been released for manufacturing.

This past Friday we attended Quinn's first (of what we hope is many) Gold party. The company rented out a place called Sparians. Think nightclub meets bowling alley. We had so much fun. I beat Quinn at bowling, again! There was good food, good music and good friends. The company brought in a digital photo booth for everyone to mess around with. Here are a few of our highlights.

(Pat, Pete and Quinn all worked together in Texas and now work together here in NC)

We had to pull ourselves away from the fun around 2 am because we knew we would have kids waking up in 5 hours. I haven't been up that late in years and man, I really felt it the next day. Totally worth it! I'm so proud of Quinn and how hard he has worked. I can't wait to see his name in the credits when the game is released on September 20th!

My very own Quinn will be doing the commentating on some Major League Gaming (yes, there is such a thing) matches this Friday night! You know you want to watch!

Oh my gosh. I LOVE the photos. They are freakin' awesome! What a fun fun thing and a HUGE accomplishment for Quinn, so new to the industry. We seriously couldn't be prouder of our lil' bro! And you too, for helping him get there!

Devry, thanks soooo much for telling us about the MLG match. Grandpa and I watched the whole thing and we loved it. Quinn is so polished, calm, smart, and humorous. AND....he is so photogenic. Awesome laugh, dimples, and smile. Great show.
Congratulations Quinn on your great idea and on pulling it off so professionally. Epic is lucky and smart to have you.
Thanks again, Devry.
