Christmas Day

We had a great day today. We woke up late around 8 this morning. We started making breakfast. Finally Jaxson came down and basked in his many Santa Claus gifts. We ate a delicious breakfast of cinnamon rolls, sausage and eggs. Dana, Ryan, Bonnie, Joseph and Sadie came over and we opened some gifts.

Unfortunately Danny had to work so we waited until early afternoon to open most of our presents with him. Everyone was really excited for Quinn to open his gift from me. For the last two and a half months I've been crocheting a blanket/afghan for him. Every time I would talk to him he would ask me what I was doing and I was say either "nothing" or "watching TV" when in actuality I was busy with the crocheting. I'm glad he finally knows I'm not that lazy.

My Mom and Dad gave me a sewing machine for Christmas. I'm very excited. Of course, I don't know how to sew but I'm going to find myself some sort of class to take and get started.

After gifts, we enjoyed a Christmas dinner consisting of prime rib, mash potatoes, green beans, sauteed mushrooms and rolls. It was the first time I have ever made prime rib and I have to say it turned out amazing! Delicious! Quinn says it needs to be our new Christmas tradition. This is not the best picture of the prime rib, it looks burnt, but really that is just the horseradish crust. I promise it was medium rare and perfect.

This evening we are all just enjoying spending time together. Merry Christmas everyone! We missed those of you who we were not able to spend time with. We hope to see you soon.

Scenes From an Evening with the Arnett's

Mallory the star.

Canyon as a pig in the stable.

Lacy's famous talk show with Lance as her guest.

Christmas Eve

This morning started out with an old Arnett family tradition...The Christmas Eve morning run...hahahaha...I can't even type that with a straight face.

A little over a week ago I threw my back out by leaning over to put dish washing liquid in the dishwasher. I know. How dumb is that? So I haven't done any sort of physical activity for a about 8 days since I could barely walk. So I wanted to get back in the game. So Quinn and I set our alarm for 6:30 this morning and then roused my mom from sleep and the three of us set off to the Provo river trail. We ran three miles. I was actually quite pleased with how well I did for not having done much lately. My mom did great. And Quinn was very helpful walking beside me trying to encourage me to keep running.

I'm excited for the rest of the days festivities.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Deep and Philosophical

Stacey and I had a very deep and philosophical discussion today whilst we were out running errands. For some reason I was thinking back on the recent Celine Dion episode of Oprah. During the episode some of her fans got to request for her to sing a favorite song. So, I posed the question to Stacey. What song would she have Celine sing?

Her answer was "Call the Man" off of Falling Into You. An excellent choice.

I had a really hard time narrowing it down. My finalist were (in no particular order):

Water From the Moon from Celine Dion
To Love You More from Let's Talk About Love
I Love You from Falling Into You
I'm Alive from A New Day Has Come
Alone from Taking Chances

But after much thought and deliberation I would have to go with

I Want You to Need Me off of her All The Way album.

So what would you ask her to sing?

Glad It's Not Me

Last night Quinn told me that he is only going to sleep every other night from now until next Friday. Good luck with that.

I am a Horrible Babysitter

Dana had to make an emergency trip to Toys R' Us just now as they currently have in stock the doll house she has been looking for. She left the kids in my charge.

I noticed that Sadie was being unusually quiet and I went to see why and found this.

She was clearly determined not to let any of the caramel from the McDonald's Apple Dippers go to waste.

The worst part is that this is the second time she is having her outfit washed. She got a little sick on herself this morning. In fact, Dana just finished washing and drying the outfit and putting it back on Sadie right before she left.

Soup

Last night, Kim and Jordan invited Lindsay and me up for dinner. Jordan made a most amazing French Onion Soup. Seriously, it is the kind of thing that can change your life.

Delicious, right? We must encourage them to post the recipe on their blog!

Kim followed it up with a delicious cheesecake. Then we spent the rest of the night chatting and having fun. We also recruited Kim to our running goal. She is coming down Saturday for the first of our runs---3 miles. Start praying for me now. I think it will take a miracle for me to finish it. Even if I end up crawling I'm determined to at least cover the distance.

Look What I Did

And before you start to think I'm really talented, I must confess I didn't actually make the gingerbread house, just decorate it. For a Young Women activity, my mom's Laurels decorated houses and I invited myself along since I love to do it. There is a lady in our ward who is a pro at making them and has even taught classes at candy making shops etc...She made all the houses and had so much fun food/candy for us to decorate with.

Front view of "Casa DelHoyo"

Side view --isn't the rock candy adorable???

All lit up. That's right, this lady leaves a little hole in the bottom so you can put a string of lights through it to light it up. It also makes the gingerbread smell permeate through the house. Our house is smelling really good right now.

Our Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a fantastic holiday weekend. Quinn was able to fly in on Wednesday night. Thursday, we enjoyed a fabulous meal with my family, Aunt Candy, Uncle Lance, Jantzen and Bonnie. My family hadn't been all together for a Thanksgiving in 6 years. It was a lot of fun and delicious too!

Here we are anticipating a delicious Thanksgiving meal.

Thursday night about 20 Arnett's headed out for the traditional post-meal movie. We saw Enchanted. Loved it!

Friday Quinn, Cameron, Jaxson and I went and picked out a Christmas tree. I think they boys didn't appreciate that I made them walk through the entire lot before we made a decision.

Saturday we had the opportunity to attend my friend Elise's dinner reception up in Sundance. So beautiful.

Here is the happy couple being announced as husband and wife!

At the reception, the original BFF's (Amy, Elise, Melissa and I) were all reunited (with our husbands).

Here is a pic of Amy and Melissa.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Friday, Quinn paid a visit to Lexi, my cousin and hair stylist extraordinaire. He went in for a trim and came out with his first hair coloring experience.

Can you tell? When the sun hits it, I love the depth that it has added. He says he wants to try to go even darker when he comes back over Christmas. I think I may have created a monster.

Today, sadly Quinn fly back to Dallas to begin school again tomorrow. But he only has three weeks to go and then he gets almost a full month break. Yeah!!

Where have I been?

Well, mainly sick and in bed. Oh, and I discovered this little device in the process. I have to say, it may have changed my life. After one day of cleansing three times, I noticed a significant improvement in my breathing capabilities.

Finally, today I can say I am all better. I can breathe, I'm not coughing nearly as much and I have my energy back. Just in time for Thanksgiving.

Lars and the Real Girl

Last night I met Kim and Emily at Jordan Commons to watch the movie Lars and the Real Girl.

The premise of the movie had piqued my curiousity and so we went. I was a little afraid going into the movie, but this movie was quirky, funny and in the end very heart-warming. I really enjoyed it. Check out the trailer below.

Day 2 of Fitness

Today the running part of the gym was less horrible then it was on Monday. Don't get me wrong, it was still horrible, just slightly less. But I have Dana's example to aspire to. She has worked up to running for 1 HOUR!!! I can't even imagine. But she loaned me her book with the training regimen that she credits for this feat so I am feeling a little more confident that I too can achieve something similar. For now I'm just happy to walk/run my two miles.

Next up, I must go purchase a snorkel so Lindsay and I can start our adventures in the lap pool. Good times!

Gratitude

Sunday during testimony a man bore his testimony regarding gratitude. He quoted the line from Sheryl Crowe's "Soak Up The Sun: --"It's not having what you want It's wanting what you've got." The basic premise of his testimony was that if we are not grateful for what we already have, how can we expect the Lord to bless us with more. His words have stuck with me over the last 24 hours. I think I've been so busy wanted to be blessed with certain things that I want, that I am neglecting being grateful for the things I have already been blessed with. I would like to go ahead and repent now.

I'm grateful for the following blessings in my life:

1. The love, companionship, support and understanding of my wonderful husband, Quinn. He has loved me absolutely unconditionally during a very difficult time.

2. The support of the Arnett and DelHoyo families, in particular, our parents. We could not have made it through the last year without them. Over the last 18 months, we have made a lot of important decisions and I've felt nothing but support from them. Their support has enabled Quinn to focus on school and for me to tackle the depression and other things that I've been dealing with lately.

3. My mother who has let me be "her particular companion" these last few months. It has made all the difference.

4. My father who gave me an early Christmas present and got me a gym membership because he knows that exercise will help to relieve the stress and help me feel better. And also because he wants me to be in shape for when Quinn and I have an opportunity to start a family.

5. Health. We've been sans health insurance for almost a year now and have been blessed to not have any major illness that would require expensive trips to doctors.

6. My friends who didn't give up on me. I'm thankful that they didn't desert me when I didn't return emails or phone calls.

7. My Savior, Jesus Christ. I know He walks beside me in this journey. However, I have not been the most faithful companion. I often leave Him and wonder off, but He has never left me and always welcomes me back with open arms. For this, I will be eternally grateful.

Joseph Transforming

I've been wanting to post video of Joseph doing his best Optimus Prime impersonation for Quinn to enjoy. After several tries, this was the best I could do. Sadie kept coming up to the camera and saying "cheese." She definitely knows how to pose for the camera.

Traditions

As a newly created family you have the opportunity to continue the traditions that you grew up with as well as creating new ones together. I'm really looking forward to being able to create our own DelHoyo family traditions. The other night I asked Quinn about which Christmas traditions that he grew up with did he most want to see continued with our own family in the coming years. Number 1 on his list was the advent calendar. He went on to say how much he loved the anticipation of counting down to Christmas and guessing which ornament everyone was going to pick to put on the calendar as well as who would get the honor of putting on the star. So tonight while I was out shopping with Lindsay for our cousin Meghan's bridal shower, I found the following advent calendar. Since it was relatively inexpensive I had to make it mine.

I think the possibilities are endless with all the little cubbies and I'm excited to come up with little things to fill the cubbies so Quinn for now--and our future kids--can still have the magic of the Christmas advent calendar.

I Just Had to Share

I don't want anyone to misconstrue the following as some sort of announcement, because I can assure you it is not.

Today I was in historic downtown McKinney, TX which is filled with the cutest boutiques and antique shops. I went into this store called The Abode (I really wish they had a website so everyone could appreciate this store). Anyway, they had the cutest diaper bags I have ever seen. Really, I was so taken in by them that I made sure to write the brand down for future reference. But I think this is just too great of a discovery to keep to myself.

The brand is called Kalencom. Check out a sampling here. Aren't they fabulous? Ok, I know I just sounded like Kimora Lee Simmons, but seriously, I am really in love with these bags.

A World Series Rant

Even though my interest is slim to none in the World Series, I did watch some of the game tonight. And all I could think of was the following:

Ok, seriously, why would anyone name their son Coco Crisp? I mean first off, Coco should never be a man's name. It is a nickname for a girl. Coco Chanel, Coco Cox-Arquette, etc... And to add insult to injury, don't name your son Coco if his last name is Crisp. Am I wrong here, people?

In other news, Quinn and I have been having a lot of spending time with each other the past week. He even went with me and saw Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Is not he a good husband? I enjoyed the movie overall although it wasn't as amazing as I had hoped. I've never seen the first Elizabeth, which I heard is amazing, so watching this definitely made me want to watch it. Now if only Lindsay will hurry up and buy the DVD player that edits movies so I can watch it it all its edited glory.

This Post is for Kristen and Any Other Yankee Fans Out There

How are we feeling about this?

First off, I must admit that I only casually followed the Yanks this year. Primarily this is due to the horrid start they had to the season. I just couldn't bear to get into it only to be so let down. Towards the end of the season as things started to get interesting I followed a little more closely. I still could not get fully invested. Good thing too as true to recent form, they were once again booted early from the playoffs. Anyway, all that being said, I can't say I hate the idea of a new manager. Don't get me wrong, I love Torre and he has done amazing things for the team during his twelve years, but lets be serious, something has got to change. With the talent and payroll that they Yankees have they should not be struggling like they have been. I'm not saying I expect the World Series every year, but come on, can they at least be in contention for the AL East through most of the season instead of just always making some miraculous push right at the end of the season and ending up with the Wild Card by the skin of their teeth??? Am I asking too much??

News

There have been rumors swirling around The Guildhall that changes were being made to the program and that the internship might be on its way out. Apparently, it is like a vacation for the students and they have a hard time ramping back up again (since they are only working 8 hours a day vs. the 16-18 hours a day they put in as students). Also, it seems that companies often want the students to stay and not go back to school. Being the impatient person that I am, I was anxious for the official announcement. Would Quinn be living somewhere else starting in January? Would he be getting out of school earlier than planned or would the push the internship to the end? Well, the official announcement is apparently going to be made on Monday but the long and short of it is that Quinn will now be graduating in July 2008. They are getting rid of the internship and making 8 week "modules" instead of 12 week terms. So when he starts back in January he will only have to finish 3 8 week "modules" and then he is finished. So I will have my husband back in 9 to 10 months instead of another 12!! I'm very excited.

I've finally given in

After much harassment from my lack of posting I'm finally going to answer one of the tags I received a while back from my cousin Lacy.
Normally I'm opposed to such practices such as tagging but since I've had blogger's block I figured I can use it as an excuse to throw something up here for the world to read. Plus it is 1:30 in the morning and I need something to do since I can't seem to sleep. So here it goes...five little known facts about me (to most people anyway).

1. I have very little feeling in my bottom lip and chin. At first this was a bit of a problem when eating etc...but in the 10+ years that this has been the case I've grown accustom and barely even notice it anymore. When I was 19 I had surgery on my jaw where basically they broke it and then put it back together with screws. I was warned that I might not get all feeling back and indeed they were right. So if you ever see me with food on my chin/lip its most likely there because I can't feel it.

2. When I was in my tween/early teen years I hated the freckles on my arms and tried to only wear long sleeve shirts. I've since embraced my complete lack of pigment and freckles.

3. At one point in my life I was a member of Team Celine. That is right, I actually paid money to join her fan club and I do not regret it. I think I got a Celine Dion pen, mouse pad and a fancy certificate. Totally worth the 50 bucks.

4. I never understood the fascination people had with squeezing other people's blackheads, pimples, etc... but since I've been married, I totally get it. Oh the satisfaction!

5. I knew after about 3 weeks of knowing Quinn that I was going to marry him. It only took him another year or so to come around but eventually he did!!!

Halo 3 Day

Monday night around 11 pm Quinn and I headed down to the mall to stand in line for the release of Halo 3. Mind you, we didn't buy it because it is already pre-ordered back in Texas, we were just there to take in the ambience and support the other die hards that were there to pick up the game at midnight. I was one of maybe 10 girls there. Good times. But Quinn did get to reunite with some of his old Halo buddies. Here is a picture of Quinn, Chris and Kurt standing in line eagerly awaiting midnight.

This picture is after they have touched the coveted game.

Yesterday was my sister Mallory's 19th birthday. We all headed out for a delicious dinner at the Brick Oven. We even got to meet Mallory's new roommate.

I'm including this next picture just because I think it is cute and my nephew Joseph is quite adorable.

Quinn's time here in Utah has been so fun. Today the fun continues as we headed up to Bountiful to spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma Fry.

Surprise

Some of you may or may not know that the last 9 to 10 months have been really hard. Without getting in to too much detail, in an effort to help with the stress I've been spending a lot of time in Utah the last couple of weeks and we've been getting creative with the job search. The last few days have been pretty rough though. However, last night I was sitting on my couch catching up with my newly engaged cousin Megs (whom I hadn't seen since she left for her mission) when my dad walks through the door after "visiting a friend that was in town." But right behind him was Quinn. They had been working all day to surprise me with it. It was a most wonderful surprise and I'm so happy he is here and that we will get to spend the week together.

Thanks to both of our families for supporting us through these difficult times. It means the world to us. Thanks Dad for flying Quinn out here as a surprise to me and thanks to my sister-in-law Heather who gave me a much needed pep talk over IM the other night. It was greatly needed and greatly appreciated. We love you all!

Escape From Ithuria Trailer

This is the trailer for Quinn's team game project that he has been working on since June. It is almost done and they will be exhibiting it in about 10 days. After how hard Quinn (and team) has worked on it, it is very exciting to see it all come together.

Cake Mania

We have this new game for the Nintendo DS called Cake Mania. The premise is you open a bakery and have to bake and decorate cakes to keep your customers happy. I really got it more for myself than anything. Last night when we got in bed to go to sleep around midnight, Quinn said that he wasn't tired so he would play Cake Mania to make him tired so he could fall asleep. Let's just say I woke up about 2 or 3 hours later to the sound of Cake Mania still being played in bed. He was obsessed. I had to make him put down the game and get some sleep so he wouldn't be tired for church today. Let's just say that even now as I type this waiting for the time to come to go to church, he is sitting on the couch playing Cake Mania.

The Cultural Phenomenon of High School Musical

Last night Lindsay, Rebecca and I all watched the premiere of High School Musical 2. It should be said that I have not seen the ridiculously popular original High School Musical. However, I do love a musical and it was a lot of fun although very very very cheezy. So I'll probably have to check out the first one. All that being said, Vanessa Hudgens giggle made me want to gouge my eyes out it was that annoying and she seemed to giggle constantly through the entire movie for no apparent reason whatsoever. The other star of the show Zac Efron was not as annoying. But he is entirely too pretty for me. And is it me or does he look like he is constantly wearing makeup.

My New Obsession

***I have to fix my post from last night, I was in the middle of updating and lost Internet access and it posted only part of what I wrote. So here we go again.***

I apparently missed this song being played at the end of "The Hills" or so Mallory and Lexi tell me, but I discovered it today on my own and now I'm quite obsessed with this
cover.

In other news, I finally saw Jackson, that I had been reading so much about here, live and in living color yesterday and he did not disappoint. He is even more adorable as his mother claims him to be on the blog. And today I get to meet another blog baby Mason and can hardly wait. Now if I could only somehow found a way to meet little P, the trifecta would be complete.

How Does Something So Little Cause So Much Pain

The other night I was outside of the Guilhall talking with Quinn for maybe 15 minutes. In that time I got 4 mosquito bites while of course, Quinn got none. I have two on my hand and one on each foot. And they are driving me crazy. My sleep was so restless last night because I found myself waking up in a fit of scratching. There were points during the night when it felt like my thumb was on fire from the bites and the scratching.

I seriously can't stand these little creatures and I know there must be some good in them some where, but I just simply fail to see it. And why is it that Quinn and I could be standing right next to each other in a sea of mosquitos and he would come out unscathed and I would have hundreds of bites all over me. It bugs. No pun intended.

Quinn has been up for 33 hours and counting now with really no end in sight. He claims he won't be able to sleep until Thursday at 5 pm but I think he will cave before then. At least, for his sake, I hope so.

Late To The Party

Tonight I downloaded Dreamgirls from the XBox. Why didn't I heed KA's advice that she gave so long ago (I tried posting a link to her post but Youtube won't let me). I am so mad at myself for not watching this sooner. I blame it on the fact that although I've always liked Beyonce's music, I've never been a huge fan of her public persona and I guess I thought watching a movie with her would just bug. I was wrong. I loved this movie. I wasn't even that big of a fan of Jennifer Hudson during Idol but I definitely see why she won the Oscar. She deserved it. And I absolutely loved the song "Listen" so much that I went straight over to Youtube and found this delight.

The Return of the Hallowed XBox

About three months ago our Xbox 360 finally went kaput. We called Microsoft and asked how much it would be to fix since we have had it more than 1 year and the warranty had expired. It was going to cost around $150 dollars. I said forget it. We would try to find somewhere around here to fix it. So I googled repair shops and found one that said they did consoles. So we drove the 30 minutes to the shop and they had it for 1 week supposedly doing a diagnostic. Let's just say that after 7 days they hadn't even looked at it. I had to get a little stern with them and finally they looked at it. Well, the guy would never return phone calls and his maybe 12 year old son manned the shop. Finally after much persuading I got a call back and all the guy said was that it could not be fixed. So we drove back down and picked it up. We were at a lost as to what to do. Then maybe a few days later Microsoft announced that because they have been having so many problems with the 360's getting the same error they were extending the warranty on all 360. Great, we thought. Except that ours had now been torn apart which often voids the warranty. But we called Microsoft and they said it was no problem. So we sent off the 360. Well, today we finally got our new 360 in the mail. I was so excited. I could not wait to get it set up. I have really missed XBox Live and my favorite games like Zuma and Boom Boom Rocket. But I did have this moment of realization today that I have officially been turned into a gamer. How did this happen?

Nancy Grace

I've been wanting to write about this since Monday but of course haven't gotten around to it until now. What better time to blog than 5:30 ish in the morning when you can't sleep.

I am now an official Nancy Grace fan. Many of you might know her from Headline News and CNN. I've seen her many times and have always enjoyed her, but Monday she was a guest host on The View and now I love her even more. This woman has morals and you just have to love her for that especially since you rarely see that on TV today.

First, I was very taken with how genuinely happy she seemed that after 47 years of being single she recently got married and is now pregnant with twins.

But I really fell in love with her during "Hot Topics." First, they started by discussing Usher's called of wedding to his pregnant girlfriend. They panel discussed how the mother wasn't a fan etc... and there might have been some disagreement about what type of wedding to have etc... All Nancy kept on saying was "Well, they should have thought about all of this before they got pregnant." Amen.

Second, they tackled Richard Branson, billionaire and owner of the Virgin empire. In some recent interview he had mentioned that he smoked pot with his son and how it helped to make them become close. The panel discussed whether or not this was good parenting. To be fair, none of the panel thought this was good parenting, however not necessarily for the same reasons Nancy. Joy for instance thought that the parent needs to be the parent and shouldn't engage in behavior like that with your child, suggesting that if you are a pothead you should hide it from your child. Nancy however was appalled that no one had brought up the fact that Hello??? it is illegal, no matter if you do it by yourself or with your child!! Amen, again.

Most Delicious Meal Ever?

I may have just made one of the most delicious meals I've made in a long time. Yesterday morning the Food Network was on and it was Guy's Big Bite. He was making flank steak and these potatoes that looked to die for. So I surveyed the ingredients and realized that all I was really lacking was the flank steak and that could be easily solved with a quick trip to the grocer. So I went for it.

So today we had my version of this meal.

Flank steak with a balsamic "wine" reduction. I surveyed online and came up with a good flavor substitution for the Cabernet Sauvignon. And these potatoes really were to die for. Let's just say that you cook the bacon and onions to get all the bacon fat out, then you fry the potatoes in the bacon fat and garnish with the bacon, onions and some Parmesan cheese. Definitely not healthy but quite delicious.

I'm glad Sunday is drawing to a close. We had to speak today in our new ward today and I am ever so glad to have that out of the way for a while. I so wish I had Quinn's gift for public speaking. Now I can settle in and watch hours of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. Quinn has been waiting for this for a long time.

Discussion

Let's discuss. I finished it earlier today. I read it in two sittings as I had to give Quinn some attention yesterday. Quinn even teased me that I was going to sleep with it under my pillow. Don't worry I didn't. On to the important things, let the discussion begin.

Dumb Laws

Somehow Quinn and I got on a discussion of stupid state laws. He had seemed to remember that it was illegal to drink milk in Utah. I just could not understand why this would be. So obviously, we googled weird state laws and came across the following website: Dumb Laws. Turns out it is actually illegal to not drink milk. I guess I was breaking the laws for years and didn't even know it since I can't stand to drink milk.

Some of our favorites are:

Utah:
A husband is responsible for every criminal act committed by his wife while she is in his presence.

It is illegal to cause a catastrophe.

Virginia:
It is illegal to tickle women.

Texas:
A recently passed anti-crime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed.

Seriously? Elected officials actually spent time on that??

The Parentals

My parents flew in for the weekend. I picked them up from the airport on Friday afternoon. That evening we met one of my mom's friends from grade school for dinner. It was very nice to meet her.

This morning we headed downtown and visited the Sixth Floor Museum and other JFK sites. The Taste of Dallas was also going on this weekend so we walked along and did some shopping in all the fun booths they had set up. Below is a picture of my mom and Quinn with the Gator set up at the booth serving friend alligator.

We then headed over to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. See how happy my parent's are waiting for their cheesecake?

Afterwards, we all went and watched Transformers. Quinn said he liked it even more the 2nd time.

We ended the night with a trip to get some gelato and then out to see the Dallas Temple. It looked very beautiful all lit up at night.

We dropped my parents back at the hotel because everyone was exhausted after a long day. Tomorrow we get to go to church with them and then who knows what. Should be fun.

A Potter Summer

We just saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I thought we were going to see Transformers again, but Quinn surprised me with HP. I didn't even know it came out today.

Quinn said it left him a little wanting. He said he thought it lacked a mystery which is what he enjoys about the other movies especially 1 and 2. But he said to be fair, he probably felt this way because he isn't a huge fan.

I, on the other hand, really enjoyed it. But I'm sure that is because I'm a fan and read the books. I did forget how much I disliked Harry in book 5. He is moody and at times annoying. But I find this to be true to life. Who wouldn't be after dealing with the things he has been for the past 4 years. Thankfully, the movie doesn't harp too long of this side of Harry. Dolores Umbridge was delightfully devilish and Ralph Fiennes as Voldermort is fantastic again. The final showdown of the movie was exciting and left me wanting more. I can't wait to start reading book 6 tonight so I can be totally prepared for the release of 7.

Only 9 days and 11 hours left!!!
