A Rough Start

We literally just walked in from church this afternoon where we spent our first Sunday as Sunbeam teachers. It was a rough start. One girl would not keep her shoes on. One little boy (a visitor) proclaimed as soon as we got to class that "I'm not listening. La, la, la, la, la" and he kept it up for quite a while. But the highlight happened later when the girl sans shoe fell off of her chair. She was a little sad (but not hurt) so I picked her up and comforted her for about 5 minutes. Then all of the sudden I noticed that she had peed... ON ME!!! It wouldn't be that upsetting except for the fact that both my shirt and skirt are dry clean only. But the kids are cute and I'm sure we will hit our stride eventually but today was rough.

Quote of the day goes to the little boy sitting behind us in Sacrament meeting. In the midst of a talk from a returning missionary he proclaimed to :"This church is not about Satan." True, true.

AWESOME! You have been anointed as a true Sunbeam worker. Little kids everywhere will now accept you as someone to love and trust.

I woke up this morning with a little 3-year old pee-boy cuddling up to my back...YUCK!

You better chuck the dry-clean only clothes to the back of the closet. They have no place in toddler-land.

YIKES! Talk about baptism by fire, or maybe by pee!

Sounds like you got that warm and fuzzy feeling…literally!

Now that's a FUNNNNNNY story...a lot funnier than the pie-upchuck-in-the-toilet told by Cara. Poor Devry.....what wise crack did Quinn share with you on that discovery? Better yet, don't tell me. Just 'keep on swimming, keep on swimming' as Dorrie the fish would say.
